It’s Friday afternoon and I have been spending a lot of my lunch hour trying to decide what to write about. I could write about another great week at CGA, my thoughts about “what’s next”, or about the marathon I ran last week (I promise a blog is coming about this, it’s not quite ready!)
As I was asking the Lord what to write about, all I could think about is how I just want to rest. But not just the kind of rest that looks like taking a nap (ok, there will probably be a nap at some point this weekend). I’m talking about resting in the Lord and his goodness.
As I think more about what this looks like for me this weekend, I keep hearing the word “celebrate”. It has certainly been a couple of crazy weeks filled with friends, family, running a lot, recovering from running a lot, having future plans change, and not to mention my busy schedule as usual.
This weekend I am choosing to pursue this celebration. I’m choosing to rest in His goodness. And I’m expecting the Lord to use this time to recharge me and refocus my mind for not only the next week, but for the remainder of my time at CGA and beyond.
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported this ministry financially and through prayer! I’m excited to say that I have met my financial goal for this fall at Adventures in Missions. Thank you for your partnership and for generously walking with me as I am learning and serving here in Georgia!
